In the United States of America November is regarded as a month in which we set aside time to show our thanks for the blessings we have been given in this great country of ours.
Although Thanksgiving Day is traced back to the pilgrims celebrating their first bountiful harvest by having a “Feast” in the year of 1621, it was not until 1941 that Congress passed a bill, and FDR signed it, that fixed the date as the fourth Thursday in November. FDR attempted to move the holiday to the third Thursday in November, but Congress enacted a law to fix the date at the fourth Thursday in November, thus making it an “official” holiday. On November 26, 1941, FDR signed the bill.
Despite our economic struggles as a country over the last several years we still have much to be grateful for as a country, the greatest blessing being our freedom of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This includes our freedom to start and run our own businesses and create our own successes.
As a global company Brad Hodges Enterprises has been blessed because of our customers and vendors all over the world that have helped us grow. So at this time of the year I want to personally reach out and thank all our customers and vendors who have supported us over the last two years.
I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and pray for God’s blessings on all of you.
